A Ballsy Lady...

"So you set the ball right and roll this way, understood?"- rang the older lady's booming voice in her ears.
"This is how you make a 'roti'. You must learn soon!"

Narrowing her eyes and taking a deep breath in, she set the ball delicately.
But kicked it hard!

Crowd went tizzy at her deft footwork. She did roll the ball well - the soccer ball!

Eyes on Moon...

The dial sprung to life and chimed lazily, 2AM. Brooding flimsy stratus clouds flew past the waxing gibbous moon... Unhurried pensive breeze tickled the sleepy trees on its way, As the demure moon played peek-a-boo behind the mischievous leaves. They sat  by the side of the road, Loaded trucks heaved, panted and wheezed past nearby; But a cloak of silence engulfed them warmly... “I hate being touched.” - she says tersely. “You have never been...” - he smiles. Cackle of laughter erupts somewhere from afar and fades... A lanky boy with a toothy grin, serves them hot tea... Mystifying fumes of the amber brown drink rise and waft around... The two innocuous sets of eyes had already merged into the Moon…!!!

Bedtime story!

"And then we would open our lunch boxes and fight our way into it. A bunch of hungry kids, never dined fine, you see." - his eyes sparkled as he continued to reminisce his childhood. Sprawled on the bed lazily, he sifted through his memories and babbled on. She noticed the slight quiver in his excited voice now and then. Eager subtle tremors ran down his fingers which lay cupped in her hands. His smooth skin shone in the incandescent light and his voice floated around the dimly lit room. She looked lovingly at him, as he tossed and belched out memories. "How simple was his life and its string of daily boulders.
